All the Pumpkin Things

Hey Steepers!

So it’s that time of year when I fall in love with the multicoloured trees, crisp air, cozy sweaters and boots and scarfs and football games and warm tea all day. Oh yes! It’s Autumn! I can go on and on about why I love the Fall but to save you from the basic answers and ramblings you already know about, the tumblr musings and photos that rave about the Fall and of course…PUMPKINS! For today I’m just going to lump my love of everything pumpkin into one post about pumpkin teas!

Steeped Tea Chocolate Pumpkin Chai

“It’s like pumpkin pie with a chocolate twist. You’ll find it hard to resist.”

This warm black tea has the right amount of spice for me that isn’t too spicy or peppery. Love it. It also doesn’t contain any artificial flavours so its a little bit of a feel good option! It’s smooth and has the right amount of flavour and chocolateyness to satisfy a craving, and the nice light almond flavour with the black tea is what makes this tea well balanced.

A pretty awesome deal and everything in this set is delicious! Now on to the matcha; it has vanilla and cinnamon and spices in the matcha powder and smells amazing. It tastes like everything the DT pumpkin pie matcha should have been. Its smooth with vanilla and warming spices. This will be an amazing latte!
Available here:

The #PSL (Pumpkin Spice Latte)

This classic beloved blend from Starbucks is like coffee and spiced sweet latte all rolled into one. If you’re looking to see what all the hype is about, be prepared for minimal pumpkin flavour, but rather coffee deliciousness and not very much spice

Now the Pumpkin spice latte blend from steeped tea…!!! Oh-em-gee is so good! Perfectly balanced and specially formulated blend of spice and black tea ground so fine you can get every bit of flavour from this concentrated tea powder and then blend with frothy milk and a little pumpkin pie spice sprinkled on top it is PERFECTION!

Available here:

Pumpkin Chai

“Let’s face it, the best thing about fall is pumpkin pie. And this spiced black tea is arguably just as delicious. It’s got all the warmth of cinnamon and cloves, plus the sweetness of caramel and pumpkin candy. For a true autumn treat, top it up with steamed milk and stir in a spoonful of brown sugar. It’ll make you wish it were fall all year round.”

I can’t talk about pumpkin tea without mentioning this Classic seasonal blend From DT. The classic, the start to my pumpkin tea love…DAVIDsTEA Pumpkin Chai! This tea comes back year, after year, and is one of the ones that started my DT  love! All sweet caramel and rich black tea, with just a hint of spice (I would not classify this tea as a chai) it finishes the pumpkin love with adorable pumpkin shaped sprinkles mixed right into the blend!

Pumpkin Spice Brulee

“A bountiful harvest of sweetness and spice, this warming oolong is an impeccable accompaniment to crisp autumn days. A balanced swirl of rich pumpkin and flavors of caramel, toffee, butterscotch, and creamy vanilla, this rich and smooth cup is a sublime indulgence for the body and mind any time of day.” – from teavana

Now this is a pumpkin chai! With pumpkin seeds, oolong tea, sweet cinnamon and chocolate bits this tea is a must try. its a little on the spicy side and very much in the chai category but its a nice seasonal variation.

This year’s Pumpkin Collection:

Available here:

Spiced Pumpkin

Not my cuppa tea. Sort of like spiced apple but with pumpkin this tea is not for me. Not a fan of cinnamon. Would be good as an alternative to chai and probably good as a latte! Has a hint of maple flavour.
With sweetener: meh doesn’t cover the cinnamon enough but brings out the flavours a little better
With cream: very much like a latte. Only way I would drink this tea

Pumpkin Mate

“For some, fall’s all about reading books, strolling through apple orchards and knitting sweaters. For everyone else, it’s the same hectic pace as the rest of the year. And this super energizing pumpkin maté combines all the comfort of fall flavours with the much-needed zip of roasted yerba mate. With butternut squash, pumpkin seeds and a warm fall spice, it’s the perfect fuel for anything fall throws your way.”

Its very earthy…not a fan. Not picking up any flavours but mate
With sweetener: only slightly better. Getting hint of roasted pumpkin seed. Mostly earthy. kinda bitter and really just not for me. Mate teas don’t tend to strike a good note with my tastebuds anyways so I wasn’t expecting to love this one.

Pumpkin Pie Matcha

“Upgrade your fall sipping with this deliciously cozy, all natural blend of stone-ground matcha, cane sugar and natural pumpkin pie flavouring. It’s already sweetened, so all you need to do is decide what you want to make. You can top it with hot frothed milk for a latte, mix it into your cakes or cookies, and sprinkle it over your oatmeal for an oh-so autumnal treat. Looks like you’ve got some seriously tasty experimenting to do…” – from DAVIDsTEA

So Smooth and creamy. Not too pumpkin flavoured but a very tasty flavoured matcha nonetheless. This is a smooth one I enjoyed with just cream and a dash of agave.

Last year’s favourites:

Pumpkin Patch

“It can’t be helped. As soon as the seasons start to change, we crave all things pumpkin. Whether it’s baked into pies or steeped into lattes, it’s the fall taste we come back to again and again. And in this richly spiced black tea blend, we take pumpkin and spice to a whole new level. With hints of molasses, currants and a touch of garam masala, it’s a warm and cozy hug in a cup. ” From Steepster
This tea is smooth, sweet, with a balance of flavours like no other. It beat out pumpkin chai for me last year and It’s the first 250g bag of tea I bought Because it was limited Edition. This tea uses Garam Masala spice for a nice smooth take on a pumpkin black tea.

Pumpkin Cheesecake

“From apple pie to spice cake, fall is truly a season of desserts. And one concoction rules them all. After all, what could be better than a slice of pumpkin cheesecake? With all the warm spice of a classic pumpkin pie, a decadently creamy base and a toasty graham cracker crust, it’s the ultimate seasonal treat. And this sweet and comforting rooibos is just as good as the real thing. Blending maple sugar, white chocolate, pumpkin and spice, it’s dessert in a cup. ” – from steepster

Probably my favourite rooibos. So good as latte! It’s a nice treat to curb rich, sugar cravings. Creamy, sweet pumpkin deliciousness; this tea is a winner!

Thanks for Reading and I hope I gave you your Pumpkin fix for the day! For more information on these teas or to order from steeped tea follow the links with each tea or email me here:
