85g of slightly softened butter

140g of caster sugar

1 egg (can substitute for a tbsp. of milk)

180g of plain flour

100g of chocolate for decoration


In a large bowl, beat together the sugar and the butter until light and fluffy. Once this state has been reached, add in the egg (or milk) and beat until mixed in.

Add the flour, little by little, and mix until it comes together like dough, and isn’t sticky to the touch.

Place the dough inside the fridge, and chill for around ½ an hour to an hour. Obviously an hour is best, but if you’re as impatient as I am, ½ an hour will suffice!
